“Our Migrant Souls”
Acrilic, spray paint, gouache, charcoal, pastel chalk and fabric on canvas
“Growing up in Latin America I understand that my work carries with it the ancestry and heritage that forms my identity, wether or not I want them to. It also brings a specific point of view different from the European gaze, so to tread a path as an artist outside of Brazil has been an opportunity to recreate and understand better my vision related to the different cultural perspectives that surrounds me here.
“Our Migrant Souls” treat the subject not only as a material circumstance but the inner self notions that serves as physical and spiritual portals, between continents and astral planes, revealing the clandestine essence surrounding our experiences.”
