In the work “zwei davon”, Niklas Apfel deals with the existence of Two Parts. Above and below, right and left, east and west. There are many different divisions, in us human beings, in our abilities and actions, in our will and ability. Through his strong gestural ductus, Apfel illustrates the often inner struggle that often takes place. The struggle of the sides with each other, or also the coexistence.

Niklas Apfel is an interdisciplinary artist living in Berlin. In his free works he seeks the contrast to his occupation with the focus on graphics and illustration. His large-scale canvases are created in dynamic, sports-like sessions in his studio K18 at Südstern.
